Mekeisha Buffaloe, Psy.D.
About Me
Dr. Mekeisha Buffaloe is a highly qualified and experienced licensed psychologist with an impressive educational background. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Social Behavior from the University of California, Irvine, and earned her M.A. in Clinical Psychology, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Argosy University. Dr. Buffaloe furthered her studies, obtaining a second M.A. in Clinical Psychology with a focus on Multicultural Communities and a doctorate (Psy.D.) from the APA-accredited California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, Los Angeles.
During her professional training, Dr. Buffaloe completed an Advanced Predoctoral Externship at the University of Southern California's Engemann Student Health Center. She then successfully completed an APA-Accredited Doctoral Internship at the University of California, Irvine Counseling Center, followed by a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of California, Santa Cruz, Counseling and Psychological Services. Currently, Dr. Buffaloe provides telehealth services throughout the State of California.
Dr. Buffaloe also served as a Tenure-Track Licensed Psychologist at California State University, Dominguez Hills, Student Psychological Services. During her tenure she offered individual and group therapy, conducted outreach programming, and actively engaged with the community. Dr. Mekeisha Buffaloe, also created and co-hosted a popular monthly web series, 'Morning Talk,’ on Instagram Live @torowellness, providing valuable insights and support to students, faculty, staff, and its viewers. Additionally Dr. Buffaloe manages a private practice and, in 2023, was selected to serve as a Law Enforcement Psychologist with a prominent law enforcement agency in Southern California.
